Rohtak is a city and the administrative headquarters of the Rohtak district in the Indian state of Haryana. It lies 70 kilometres north west of New Delhi and 250 kilometres south of the state capital Chandigarh on NH 9. 

Rohtak is connected to seven cities by three national highways {NH 9, NH 709, NH 352) and two State Highways (SH16 and SH18).

Rohtak has 16 national government institutes, making it one of the biggest educational hubs of the country. The popular educational institutes here are namely Indian Institute of Management Rohtak (IIM), Maharshi Dayanand College among other higher educational hubs.

It is easily accessible through the roads and is a 90-minute drive from the airport. The city is surrounded by greenery, which makes it cleaner and less polluted than the surrounding cities.
