The school’s Catering Department is operated in-house, enabling us to employ and train all our own chefs. We take great pride in our autonomy as it allows us to produce the type of creative, fresh and nutritious food that appeals to our international community.
Here at King’s College India, we source only fresh ingredients from nominated and approved suppliers. Most of our daily deliveries of vegetables, fruit, dairy and meat come from local producers, meaning we can literally trace each meal from ‘farm to fork’.
We keep our menus seasonal, change them regularly, and embrace the School Food’s Trust nutritional guidelines. Your ideas and recipe suggestions are always welcome. We hope you take full advantage of our fantastic catering facilities, and look forward to serving you soon.
Montessori Division Lunches & Middle & High School Lunches
At Kings College India, we actively encourage Montessori School students to eat a nutritionally balanced meal. Their choice is not limited to the main hot meal of the day, they can also choose from our daily vegetarian dishes, a jacket potato or maybe a filled roll, and includes a choice of fresh cut fruit, salad bar, cheese & crackers, chilled milk, yoghurt or dessert.
A well-balanced, wholesome and nutritious food, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian, with South Indian, Gujarathi, North Indian, Continental and Thai cuisine, is provided to the students. All the members of staff dine with the students.
The visiting parents are welcome to scrutinize the weekly menu displayed on the Notice Board in the Dining hall and join the students at a meal. The menu is changed every week to cater to variety.
The school caters specially to the needs of children who are under special dietary restrictions.
Any special item of food not included in the menu will be provided to the children on the advice of the Resident Medical Officer.
