Arts Overview
“All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players; They have their exits and their entrances; And one man in his time plays many parts, his acts being seven ages.”
-William Shakespeare
Art has always been around in one form or another, helping mankind in the development of diverse activities and their outcomes. Art is as vast as an ocean, embodying a wide range of activities, such as painting, photography, sculpture, etc. Art is a way of expression, a way of joy, a way of making people understand things which can’t be done verbally. All in all, Humankind and art cannot function without one another. We have the burning desire to create, whatever it may be and however tiny or grand. We here at King’s College India understand the importance and the need children have to express themselves which is why we do not only offer sports as a form of expression outside the classroom, but also a large number of different art related activities (painting, drawing, music, drama, etc). The corridors of the school are regular exhibition spaces for our students’ artwork.
Art at King’s
Art is what makes people optimistic about their future. It can be used to nurture inspiration and thus create an environment of incentive and a rosy outlook on life which is exactly what we aim to encourage in our students.
In order to do this we make sure to have lined up a set of projects, workshops, exhibitions and trips which will help students develop ambition and excitement for their work.
We cover many areas in the art world so that every student can find their own inspiration and growth through a diverse range of activities: painting, drawing, design, theatre, music, dance, etc. Furthermore, we only admit the best of teachers into King’s, therefore, we can assure you that your children are in good hands, our teachers will guide them and help them find as well as foster the talent that lies within each. Who knows, perhaps the next Kandinsky or Frida Kalo will come from our school!
