About Us

King’s College India, a British Day, Weekly & Full Boarding school believes in the holistic development of children and opens a world full of possibilities with global exposure, personalised learning and passion pathways. The provision of experiential learning and an all-inclusive approach makes King’s different and provides individualised awakenings for children who are looking for more than just structured learning.

British education is known worldwide for its excellence and we are here to extend the 140-year-old legacy of King‘s College Taunton, UK with an evolving British culture and Indian touch. For the first time in India, a leading British private school – King’s College, Taunton, located in cricket-loving Somerset – is offering an identical education to the one received by children in the UK. We emphasize on the core values of integrity, honesty & compassion with an academically excellent education.

The true measure of distinction is in the detail and expertise to address the needs of every child.

Our History

King’s College Taunton was founded in 1880 by the Reverend Nathaniel Woodard, a highly practical and charismatic educational pioneer. His vision was to offer strong academic teaching, relevant to a changing world, coupled with an emphasis on caring for the needs of the child – mind, body and spirit
Taking their legacy forward, King’s College India opened its doors to all students in India in August 2016, seeking to expand upon Woodard’s vision, and create an admixture of the highly revered British curriculum with Indian values. They seek to provide outstanding modern facilities like its Taunton counterpart, giving equal emphasis upon academic, co-curricular as well as extra-curricular activities in a secure and stimulating environment. Along with great educational qualifications, great emphasis is also placed on developing individual kindness, consideration, and courtesy.

Give your child the best advantage in life by selecting King’s College India and play an active role in continuing the 140-year-old legacy of King’s College Taunton in the UK.

Message from the Headmaster

Welcome to King’s College! Choosing an international school for your child is one of the most important decisions you will ever make on their behalf. That is why I am absolutely thrilled that we at King’s College India offer the finest British education to young people in India, providing what I believe to be a life changing experience. And it is what we do that makes us different: our unique tutorial system; the way we value academic excellence and make learning exciting; the way we focus on the needs and potential of each pupil; the way we provide a wealth of opportunities for girls and boys to explore and develop as individuals and as members of a vibrant community.

It is a tremendous privilege to lead this school. This is a unique place, with a distinctively friendly, happy, busy atmosphere which you will notice immediately when you visit. I encourage you to come and have a look at the facilities at offer for yourself – you will be most welcome!

I look forward to meeting you soon.

Message from the Deputy Headmaster

It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you all to our school website. King’s College India, Rohtak is located in an idyllic location as it just takes 90 minutes from school to New Delhi Airport. School is well connected by road, rail and air.
King’s College India is an independent co-educational British boarding and day school for pupils aged 3 -18 years. School offers the Cambridge Curriculum, one of the proven curricula available in the field of school education across the world. The school has the support and legacy of a 140 years old institution of repute, King’s College, Taunton.
We, at King’s College India, strongly believe that each child is unique and has hidden talents. It is our first and foremost duty to help them identify their talents and believe in themselves. No doubt academic excellence is what the present scenario demands but this alone cannot guarantee success and happiness in life. So, besides teaching the time-tested skills of reading, writing, and mathematics, which remain important at all times, there are many other aspects of good education which we impart like critical thinking and problem-solving skills, sports, tech-mastery, communication, presentation, organisation and time management skills etc.
Continuous Improvement and Competition with the self is Excellence for us at King’s College India. We believe that what students know is no longer the most important measure of a good education. The true test is the ability to apply their knowledge in unknown situations. Although, these capabilities cannot be developed overnight nor can these be mastered at the school level alone but the beginning must be made at the school level.
King’s college India aspires to be a boarding school that is respected and recognized internationally for providing holistic education to its students and equip them with life skills that would place them first among equals when they step into the real world.
All students of King’s College have the freedom and the flexibility to be creative, innovative and unique in their own way. School wants to create caring, creative and responsible young people that would be recognized as global citizens and will contribute towards making this blue planet of ours a better place to live in for ALL.
Our Motto “A kinder you, A kinder world” is embedded in the ethos of our school and serves as a guiding light for this institution towards excellence.
It is our privilege to be educators and we value this privilege earnestly. We make the learning experience of our students enjoyable, meaningful and relevant to the real world.
The Parent role has always been important in the success of any school. King’s College India intends to provide an atmosphere wherein each parent has a sense of belonging. We look forward to your co-operation and valuable suggestions. Together we can achieve more on our journey of educational excellence.

Surjeet Singh
