Our Visionary Leadership Team
Head Teacher
Dear Parents,
I’m excited to introduce myself as the new Head Teacher of King’s College India. My teaching journey began in Primary, inspired by the natural curiosity of young learners. I later returned to my roots in Theatre, working with Secondary and Senior students—capturing their creativity—before moving into the Theory of Knowledge, where I learned as much from my students as they did from me. This path eventually led me into school leadership, a role I consider both a privilege and a responsibility.
In today’s climate, the mental health and emotional well-being of our students must be prioritised alongside strong safeguarding practices and academic excellence. At KCI, I am committed to nurturing confident, resilient learners who are well-equipped for the future—both personally and academically.
What truly excites me about joining KCI is its remarkable fusion of traditional British educational values—integrity, compassion, respect, good manners, and character development—with the warmth and vibrancy of Indian culture. I’ve already been impressed by the school’s structured boarding environment, the celebration of Founders’ Day, and the spirited House competitions that echo the best of British school traditions.
Our rich calendar of events—from the KCIMUN 2025 conference, Investiture Ceremony and student governance initiatives to peer mentorship and innovation programmes—offers students countless opportunities to develop leadership, creativity, and confidence. And I’m especially passionate about the prestigious Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, and have had the pleasure of meeting the current Duke on several occasions—a highlight of my career.
Joining mid-year allows me to take the time to observe, listen, and celebrate what is already thriving at KCI. I look forward to working in partnership with our dedicated staff, engaged parents, and exceptional students to shape the next chapter of our school’s journey.
I hope to meet many of you soon at upcoming coffee mornings, but please don’t hesitate to stop by for a conversation—I always welcome a friendly chat over a cup of tea.

Deputy Head’s Welcome
As the Deputy Headmaster of King’s College India, I am reminded of the words of Mahatma Gandhi: “Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.” This sentiment encapsulates our commitment to fostering a vibrant educational environment that transcends rote memorization and nurtures the inquisitive minds of our students. In a world that is increasingly defined by complexity and rapid change, the distinction between mere memorization and meaningful learning is more critical than ever.
Our educational philosophy centres on empowering students to engage actively with knowledge, fostering critical thinking, creativity, and adaptability. We believe that true education is about inspiring young minds to question, explore, and innovate, preparing them for a future that requires both skills and wisdom.
To achieve this vision, we emphasize a holistic approach to development. Our curriculum is designed to offer a rich tapestry of academic subjects, arts, sports, and community service, ensuring that students have the opportunity to discover their passions and strengths. By integrating various disciplines, we promote interdisciplinary learning, allowing students to make connections that deepen their understanding of the world around them.
Our mission is to equip young learners with the tools and experiences necessary to navigate an ever-evolving world, enabling them to make informed decisions, uphold ethical values, and contribute meaningfully to society. We believe in empowering students to think critically, solve problems creatively, and embrace their passions.
We take great pride in our dedicated faculty, who are not only experts in their fields but also lifelong learners themselves. Through continuous professional development, our teachers are prepared to inspire and engage students, fostering an atmosphere of curiosity and innovation. Their commitment to excellence ensures that each student receives personalized attention, allowing them to flourish both academically and personally.
Our track record speaks for itself—students who excel in academics, thrive in the arts, and demonstrate leadership in community service. They are global citizens who embody strong moral principles and are passionate advocates for positive change. We encourage our students to take part in various extracurricular activities, from sports to cultural events, which help develop teamwork, resilience, and a sense of belonging.
Moreover, we believe that education must also foster empathy and social responsibility. By engaging in community service and global awareness initiatives, our students learn to appreciate diverse perspectives and understand the importance of giving back. This commitment to social responsibility ensures that our graduates leave not only as skilled individuals but also as compassionate leaders. Education at King’s College extends beyond the classroom. As we embrace experiential learning, we encourage students to immerse themselves in real-world challenges, promoting deeper understanding and lasting impact. In the words of Albert Einstein, “The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its reason for existence.”
Together, let us inspire our students to question, explore, and grow as they embark on their unique journeys. With the support of our dedicated faculty and engaged community, I am confident that we will continue to cultivate a generation of leaders equipped to face the challenges of tomorrow.
