Headmaster’s Welcome
There remains little doubt, in the aftermath of the recent and ongoing challenges faced by humanity, that education represents a passport to a better life, greater life chances, wisdom, and a sense of community and servitude. Here at King’s College India, we are acutely aware that our children have endured a great deal during the recent pandemic, and we must tread carefully to ensure that the correct steps are taken to protect their futures. In essence, we care.
I am very pleased that you have chosen to consider King’s College India as the place where your child can grow, be nurtured, and realise their potential. Alongside the Cambridge Primary, Lower Secondary, IGCSE, and A-Level programmes, we offer a broad curriculum that allows students to express themselves naturally and grow their confidence in a range of areas. A fundamental principle of the Cambridge programme is self-management; we teach and encourage our children, from a very early age, to manage their time, responsibilities, research, homework, sports training, relationships, presentations, ethos, and general life principles.
To enhance and complement the holistic growth of our children and young adults, we have first-class facilities within the academic areas as well as in the surrounding environment. Dedicated laboratories and classrooms, a Drama studio, Music rooms, and Art studios ensure that our learners have access to a wide range of developmental opportunities. We also have a 25m swimming pool and training pool, as well as dedicated changing areas. Our cricket practice areas, pitch, football field, basketball, tennis, and multi-function courts provide every learner with opportunities for growth outside the classroom.
Boarders feel as though this is a home from home and play an integral part in the development and growth of their second home. Our dormitories are clean and well-appointed. Boarding students have access to teachers in the evenings and throughout the weekends, and an additional enhancement programme is developed specifically for boarding students, taking into account the needs of the boarding community. All of this is set within our amazing campus, which is designed to create the safest, calmest, and most inspiring environment possible.
Our teachers all hold a degree as a minimum standard and have experience with the Cambridge curriculum and teaching methodologies. The teaching staff go beyond what is presented in the syllabus and use methodologies embedded in metacognition, active learning, and multiple intelligence theories to ensure a bespoke curriculum is delivered to every learner at the school. To further embed our motto, A Kinder You, A Kinder World, we actively participate in service activities designed to help grow and develop the immediate communities around us. This fosters a sense of place, community, social awareness, and responsibility in our learners. At King’s College India, our learners are equipped with the skills needed for life.
Finally, as members of the King’s College community, our students will not only develop the skills needed for later life but will also be a part of the King’s family – a legacy that reaches back over 140 years. KCI enjoys strong links with our sister school, King’s College, Taunton, and we regularly undertake cultural, academic, and sporting exchanges – as well as with other schools in Europe, Asia, and Africa.
So, please do visit us and enjoy a chat about our wonderful school. Being part of King’s College India is an amazing opportunity for you to not only invest in your child’s future but also for your child to realise her or his potential. I look forward to meeting you and your children soon.
